DIGGES DESIGN | GRAPHIC DESIGN & VISUAL BRANDING
Wired Magazine / CASE STUDY
CLIENT OVERVIEW
Wired Magazine has been recognized through the years as a tech digest, business journal, thought instigator, and design provocateur. As Condé Nast’s first tech property, its ad pages are dominated by luxury goods and emerging technologies. The design challenge with Wired was to push the boundaries of design while maintaining a business authority appeal.
Design Challenge
As Design Director for Marketing & Sales at Wired I led a design team through print and digital applications of the Wired brand for five years. My team’s focus was on generating advertising revenue through custom in-house advertising, online promotions, premium events, and a vast array of associated marketing initiatives. We were a full-service in-house design agency.
MAGAZINE DESIGN / MARKETING & EVENTS COLLATERAL / PRINT AND DIGITAL
“I’ve had the opportunity to work very closely with Anne spanning two decades. We first worked together as we were launching one of the most innovative tech event platforms in the 2000’s called WIRED NextFest which I ran for 5 years. Anne was the visual voice of all the design work to conceptualize, market and execute its identity in the market. WIRED NextFest was a groundbreaking, thought provoking, future forward immersive experience and it needed a visual language that delivered on its promise and deliver Anne did.
In recent years, I’ve worked with her to redesign the brand language for my impact investment platform FoodShot Global and Anne was so knowledgeable about our subject matter and had such an intuitive feel for our mission that the collateral piece, a 5 year retrospective brochure of all our work, was seamless, cohesive and inspiring. Thank you Anne!”
